By the time we hit our late 30s-40s-50s many of us start to feel the effects of years of not attending as well as you can to you – your wellness. You thought you were doing a good job, the right thing.
Then one day you ask yourself “where did that level of health I know and love go? Why am I feeling chronically “off”. Or worse, you may already be pledged by one of the leading causes of chronic-life-style-related diseases and/or on multiple medications? You want someone/something to wave that magic wand and restore your health. Changes in health (subtle or significant) are usually calls to action.
We should not wait until we have a health crisis — Whether we have had a brush with ill health or starting to realize our bodies are not the same as when we were in our 20s-30s. There is no magic wand that I know of. We don’t have to be “a health nut” —However, now is the time to take care of you. Often, how well we age is a result of how well we nourished our needs. With a post-graduate degree in clinical nutrition, over 20 years of experience, and dozens of continuing education hours annually, studying with the brightest and best in functional and integrative health, I can say “had I known then all the health and wellness tools I use now I would have truly been nurturing my biology in my 20, 30 and 40s. It is my passion to share these pearls with you.
In 1998, I founded Nutrition for Wellness as a medium through which to share my passion and knowledge for all things that support the human condition of optimal wellness and minimizing disease; inspire people not just to do what will foster wellness but to be good to themselves/gentle but real with themselves and celebrate how good they can feel in their bodies now. Empowering you to acknowledge and celebration what you are doing right and build upon that.
Through Nutrition for Wellness programs, I take the best research and knowledge of functional and integrative nutrition and medicine to educate, inspire, and empower people like you to take ownership to maintain and/or recapture their best level of health possible. Taking care of our bodies is crucial to self-nourishment, and self-nourishment is crucial to a happy, healthy, joyful life of purpose and meaning.
This goes deeper than a mind-body connection. The goal is to experience well-being at every level: body, emotions, cognitions, and spirit. My role is to help you start with the body you have today and see how you can best support it with good nutrition as well as through lifestyle therapies that will affect you at a cellular level. Helping you be the change instead of contributing to current-day-health statistics.
